My students are from a rural community that serves a high population of at-risk students. More than three quarters of our students come from economically disadvantaged homes. It is extremely important to our community that our students receive educational opportunities. We are a STEM academy school, striving to improve in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This program is really taking off and students are excited to see the possibilities available to them.

My Project
Students will be using their dry erase markers and dry erase dots to solve math problems daily. They love having these on their desks for quick computations.
Our students love their dry erase dot because they make computations quick and fun!
The supplies we need will improve student classroom success by giving them basic items they will use everyday. Our students love using their markers to give make their journals personal and give their notes emphasis. Note taking with their markers increases their engagement and they enjoy going back and review what they have written and learned. Every math classroom needs a good pencil sharpener to keep are math students pencils sharp!
