My students need the basics! We have run out of glue sticks and crayons and we are at the time of year when we start doing lots of projects.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come to school every day excited and ready to learn. Each day is filled with hugs and exclamations of their joy of being at school. They are learning to take pride in and ownership of their learning.
As a kindergarten teacher, my goal is to let each learner know that they are smart and capable.
After all, this is the beginning of their educational journey. I provide an environment that is safe, enriching, engaging and meets the personalized needs of each student.
I want to create opportunities for all of my students that they may not experience elsewhere. They explore, experience, and challenge themselves daily. This engagement is exciting and inspiring, and I see the benefits of this in their soaring confidence.
My Project
We have run out of the basics! We need glue sticks and crayons to make it through the rest of the year. We connect most of our language arts, social studies, science and math to an art project. Without a new stock of supplies, our opportunities will be limited.
Kindergarten students learn through hands on projects.
We will use these necessary supplies to cut, glue and color our way through the discovery of habitats, animal adaptations, informational text as well as celebrations of mother's day, father's day, open house and the end of the year.
Your donation will allow the students to be creative in their learning and create kindergarten keepsakes!
