Back to the Basics with a Fresh Twist!

My students need basic school supplies such as a file cabinet to organize markers, pens, and pencils that will help them suceed.

My Students

Imagine having to sit inside of a small box and being expected not to move. The expectation is that you are to remain seated in your box for 6 hours but still do your job.

My students attend a Title 1 school in the eastern part of North Carolina.

Many of my students consider school to be their safe place. For some, school is their second home. A home should be comfortable but also have an environment where you can flourish and be successful.

My Project

Color and something new...it's what brings excitement to the classroom. This project will help replace old traditional ways with fresh exciting things. Imagine a student being able to use colorful mechanical pencils, brightly colored pens, fresh new markers, and having somewhere to store and file all of their work. This project will allow for all of these things to come true. Students will be more engaged and excited about working just by changing the writing utensils they have. New and fresh materials always excite students. This will also help students that are not able to purchase supplies on their own.
