My Project
Each of these resources has been chosen to engage students, support learning goals, and build a positive classroom environment.
Fruit Gummies – These serve as quick, motivating incentives for participation or effort.
A small, sweet reward can boost morale and help reinforce positive behaviors, especially during longer tasks or lessons.
Treasure Chest Items – The treasure chest is filled with small, meaningful prizes (e.g., stickers, pencils, toys) that students can earn through good behavior, academic effort, or teamwork. This system encourages goal-setting, personal responsibility, and intrinsic motivation.
Smarties (Candy) – These are used as thematic rewards for showing “smart” thinking. Giving a “Smartie” when a student demonstrates problem-solving, creativity, or critical thinking helps reinforce those habits in fun, memorable ways.
Big Pink Erasers – These symbolize the idea that mistakes are part of learning. By giving students a large eraser, we emphasize that it's okay to make errors and that revision and persistence are key to success.
Play-Doh – Play-Doh is used in hands-on learning and exploration. Students can model shapes in math, create characters in storytelling, or explore scientific concepts like landforms or habitats. It supports fine motor skills, creativity, and kinesthetic learning.
Together, these items help create a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn.
