Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember your first day of school? The first day of school can be exciting and scary at the same time. Having the right supplies in place can make it a memorable and exciting experience.

Most of my students are on the free/reduced lunch program and live in low-income neighborhoods.

They are wonderful young ladies, and they have a thirst for knowledge. We are a college preparatory all girls public school in Michigan with a focus on Math and Science.

My Project

My students need dry erase markers to use with the individual white boards we were given last year. My students also need pencils and a long-lasting pencil sharpener. Water and mints will keep my girls alert and ready during the beginning of the year district wide testing. With your help and support the students in my classroom will be able to have the new items when they come back to school in the fall. All of these things would make for a GREAT start to the school year and each would last for the remainder of the year!! With your help the students in my classroom will be able to have the feeling of excitement at the start of the school year.
