This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Having the necessary supplies for the beginning of the school year is so important especially for our eager kindergarteners who are starting their schooling for the first time ever.
My students are a group of kindergarteners that attend a Title 1 school in a Texas urban school district.
Many are still learning English and many more are on free or reduced lunches. Most importantly they love coming to school, learning, and being in kindergarten.
My Project
We are requesting everything from name tags, to scissors, to a giant classroom timer to start the school year right. My kindergarteners need name tags in order to learn each others names and to stay safe at school. We also need a class set of scissors to create fun and engaging projects as we start the beginning of the year. Additionally, we need a giant classroom timer to keep students on task as they finish their work.
Having these supplies will help jump start my kindergarten class's year.
Our youngest learners are our most eager and I'd loved for them to have everything they need to get started
