Back To School, Yeah That's Cool!

My project needs school supplies for 30 students which includes: pencils, pens, folders, post it notes, journal composition notebooks, 3-subject notebooks, erasers, crayons, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, rulers, and protractors.

I am very fortunate to teach a lovely group of third and fourth graders this year at an elementary school located in Washington, DC. Although considered a low income school, we are by no means low achieving. The students that I teach are a group of highly-motivated students who are participating in a dual language program in which they are learning to speak Spanish fluently by being instructed in all subject areas in both English and Spanish. As we begin a new school year, I would like for my students to be prepared to learn on the very first day by having their school supplies waiting for them on their desks when they enter the classroom. Being a low-income school, parents aren't always able to send the supplies students need for school. I know that parents and students alike would be overjoyed to receive a helping hand with much needed items such as pens, pencils, notebooks, folders, rulers, crayons, colored pencils, and the many other supplies that they will need for a successful school year. Please consider funding my proposal so my students can have a jump start to a fresh new school year by having the essential supplies they need for learning.
