Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students love to learn! They range from third grade to fifth grade. I teach future writers, lawyers, doctors, and of course teachers! I focus on math instruction, trying to enrich and remediate students so they can find success not only at the end of the year but in future math courses also.

Our school theme for the year is "Get in the Game"!

We hope to inspire the students to do their best every day, reaching for the stars with all their might. By increasing the focus on how perseverance, grit, and determination can play a part in the road to success, I know our students will meet their goals!

Our school has about 100% of the students qualifying for free breakfast and lunch. Our students rely on school supply and uniform donations. Our school is so thankful for the support from DonorsChoose.org!

My Project

Returning to school will be different this year. Please help me provide the basic school supplies for my math students. They will need all the support we can give them after this extended COVID break. By providing these basic supplies, I hope to lessen the stress on our low-income families.

Our students have suffered greatly, but the sky is the limit with our new school year!

With these markers, highlighters, erasers, and pencils, we will have what we need to reach the stars with our math goals this year. Thank you!
