My students come from extreme poverty and are constantly battling outside forces that impact their abilities in the classroom. They feel safe in our school, but that is the only security in their lives - a haven to escape the drugs, violence, and other evils.
Even with all that weighing on their minds, they are hopeful.
They love to learn, love to be nurtured, and love to learn to be a Person of Character! Our therapy room needs some specific equipment in order to help our students reach their optimum potential during this distance learning period!
My Project
As our students transition back to a hybrid model for school, we are finding that there are so many attentional needs. These fidget toys will help my students to focus on instruction! The half yoga ball with the exercise bands will provide movement, exercise, and a much needed sensory break during the day. The spot marker combo pack will allow us to make movement activities in the hallways for those who need a break from the classroom!
My Kindergarteners need hands on materials!!
After being remote all year, my kindergarteners greatly need experience with fine motor toys! They need to strength their hands so they can write, cut, color, and draw! The snap-n-learn alligators will use fine motor skills while they practice recognizing upper case/lower case letter matching. The golf pencil are the perfect size for these little hands while they learn to write! These fine motor activities will help to strengthen their hands!
