This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The work we do in this classroom is to build positive relationships, involving a partnership or group activities. We are working to build our school core value of PEACE: Perseverance, Enthusiasm for learning, Activism for social justice, Collaboration, and Empathy.

We are in district 9 in Bronx, New York. Over 90% of student population are Hispanic and about 10% of the students are black. About 40% are English Language Learners and about 25% are Students with Special Needs. Our school offers Dual Language Program for all grades to accommodate high hispanic student population.
My Project
Many of my students will be back from remote learning at home to school classroom this September. To prevent illness from COVID-19 and any other viruses, I will need these cleaning supplies to clean, disinfect and sanitize the classroom to welcome my students back to the classroom. I want to make sure to create a healthy environment where students can be protected from COVID-19, so I’ve also requested masks. I will be able to better sanitize and disinfect the classroom with these materials. Completion of this project will help my students and me throughout the whole year of 2021-2022.
