Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We look forward to welcoming our new group of preschoolers and their family members/guardians for the 2024-2025 school year. During the first weeks of school we focus on helping our students cope with separation anxiety. A good way to do this is with fun, colorful and entertaining children's books. We would also like photograph paper, butcher paper, a backdrop and a prop to take pictures of our students and their family members/guardians on the first day of school. We will display the photographs throughout the clasroom to help students feel welcomed and safe. Finally, we are planning to have back to school night during the first weeks of school and a reoccurring challenge we face is having a stinky classroom.
Our classroom is stinky because students are provided breakfast in the classroom which means that there are plenty of milk spills that custodial uses a wet mop on.
The milk can't be mopped off the installed area rugs and over time the rugs stink! We would like a steam vacuum to help us clean spills before they stink up our classroom.
