My students need supplies for the new year: pencil sharpeners, pencils, and folders!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Lee's classroom raised $342

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Free supplies for the classroom are still extremely limited. Classes must do with a certain number of copies, pens, or lined paper per month . . . What happens when we run out? Well, either families provide or students just wait for the following month.
My public school struggles to offer the best to our kids who come from economically disadvantaged families.
Our students are mainly African American and Latino. This situation offers unlimited opportunities to learn tolerance and team work while discovering new perspectives. However, our school and our families can't afford the resources we need to be competitive and significantly reduce the achievement gap.
My Project
Your kind donation will provide the class with the supplies that any classroom needs: pre-sharpened pencils, folders, and pencil sharpeners. We write so much every day, you wouldn't believe how many times we need to sharpen these pencils! Taking notes during research, calculating, drawing . . . The folders in different colors help students stay organized: purple for math work, red for writing portfolio, green for research, and teal for drafts.
Students will definitely be thankful to you as they'll be able to start their work right away! Additionally, they won't run out since your wonderful gift will cover the year. However, this luxury will not encourage waste in our class! As our school focuses on sustainability, students will continue to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Your generosity will ensure that my students will be able to study like they should and feel confident that they'll pass their end-of-the-year exam with flying colors.
