This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach High School students with special needs, including intellectual disabilities, deaf and hard of hearing, visually impaired, and ambulatory needs, who require tailored support to thrive academically! The items that I chose are basic supplies to kick off the new school year. Unfortunately, many families are not able to afford to buy supplies for their children. These items are all classroom essentials.

The learning kits will include adapted tools such as adapted scissors and stamps to empower all diverse learners.

My goal is to provide all students with essential materials for the 2023-24 school year while fostering their independence.
