Help me give my students magnetic letters, blends and diagraphs tiles, sight word games, Elkonin boxes, leveled books, and reading pointers the appropriate materials to support their learning to meet first-grade literacy goals.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students learn best through discovery and active involvement with people and materials. Please help my first-grade students get these engaging and essential resources for our literacy centers, guided reading instruction, and our library. Magnetic letters, blends and diagraphs tiles, sight word games, Elkonin boxes, leveled books, and reading pointers will provide multiple opportunities for my students to practice key skills while having fun during guided reading, small group instruction, and independent reading. Leveled books will help my future students become better readers by matching them with the right books at the right time.
Literacy centers promote student independence and collaboration as they grow as learners and become more confident as readers.
