Help me give my students a positive and interactive classroom environment through a pair of speakers, board games, and a mini fridge. These items will provide more purposeful lessons and access to healthy snacks as needed.

My Project

Creating a positive classroom environment for middle school students involves fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere that meets their unique developmental needs. My students are a diverse group of learners. They thrive in a space that not only recognizes their needs as learners but also growing, young people with needs and interests that go pass text books.

The items I’m requesting are focused on creating a welcoming and purposeful environment for all students I serve at my school.

For example, mini homepod speakers and a voice amplifier would help with audio-specific interactive lessons/activities and making sure all students can clearly hear their lessons without the teacher straining their voice. The mini fridge would be available for students to have access to healthy, refrigerated snacks throughout the day like fruit or perishables.

Additionally, the organizer, wall calendar, and pencil sharpeners, and Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would support my intellectual and physical preparation for classes, like planning for future lessons (and displaying it for all to see).

Lastly, some items are replacing their worn-down duplicates like the board games for rainy day fun or the pencil sharpeners, a teacher’s most important tool. Overall, all items are aligned with supporting my students have a positive learning environment through specific teacher tools for success!

By supporting my 4th and 5th grade homeroom and science lab, you can play a crucial role in shaping the day of 150+ students who come to school to only to learn, but also connect with their peers and teachers through intentionally curated learning environments.
