My Project

Research shows that Kindergarten students learn best through play. Activities that are messy, hands-on, and fun are ones that are going to grab the attention of students and help them learn.

I have created this project to get paint, play dough, LEGOs, a drying rack, sensory bin fillers, storage solutions and supplies to help make our classroom a fun and welcoming place!

Using paint and brushes helps students express themselves creatively and we use them to practice our letters, numbers, shapes and techniques the students learn in art class. Play dough strengthens students hands and helps them develop fine motor skills that can be transferred to writing activities! Legos and bristle blocks help students develop spatial awareness and gets new students excited to come to school to play. New books help keep students' attention and gets them excited to be lifelong readers!

My students will use these materials every day during our centers time. This is time in the day when the students get to practice their reading and math skills through art and play. These materials will help my students meet their learning goals in a way that is much more meaningful and memorable than worksheets. The storage bins and cabinet will keep our classroom clean.

My students have been through so much in the past few years, I want to make this year exciting and magical for them. Supporting my kindergarten students through providing art supplies, centers materials and basic supplies will engage their imagination and help them be excited to be in our classroom.

This year may be new for them but I want my students to remember the fun, the art projects, the games and activities. Please fund my project so that we can make this year a memorable first school experience for my students!
