I'm so excited to meet my new 2nd-graders and to make the first week of school magical! I enjoy creating experiences for my students to participate in. Making the first few days of school extra special and fun, while building relationships with each other, will set the tone for us having a productive, engaging, and happy school year. The books I chose will be a great way to have discussions about 'school' and what we, as a class, would like to see during this new school year.

This project will have activities that will help us create memories throughout our school year. We will use the items to help us become great readers, celebrate each other on our birthdays, and enjoy connecting to characters in books. This school year will be a "Back to School Celebration" that will continue each day as we learn about each other, become friends, and treasure the time we have together.
