My Project

As we return to school for the new year, we will also be returning to ramping up the reading across grades 9-12. This will be our second year encouraging students to read through competition, Friday First Chapter Reads, and new books.

Nothing is better to start a new school year of reading, than to have new books to choose from!

I had students put in suggestions over the summer on the genre of books they really wanted to see in my classroom and created this cart based on their suggestions: no spice teen romances and good thrillers!

I'm hoping that by stocking up on the book genres they asked for, I won't have to push so hard to get students to pick up a book. Hopefully, students will recommend to each other and keep the reading going all year long.
