My Project

Back to school is filled with nervous and excited feelings, and books are a great way to form connections and create new friendships. I read books to my 2nd graders all the time and we also use read-alouds for specific lessons throughout the school year. There are many content standards that can be pulled from picture books and I'm always creating lessons to extend our learning.

Books help build community and connections in our classroom.

We need some new back-to-school books that focus on friendships, character traits, and belonging. These books will be a wonderful addition to our classroom. My students will love reading, discussing, writing about, and creating projects that are focused on these Back to School Books!
