it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the 2023-2024 school year comes to a close, it's almost time for my current students and myself to rest and recover. However, the next school year will be here before we know it! As a special education teacher, most of my students will continue in my class this upcoming school year. We had a wonderful year full of projects, small group learning, and community building. Throughout this year, we had to repurchase and reorder many school supplies.
As the new school year approaches, I want to get a head start on collecting materials and supplies for our daily lessons and activities.
Throughout the year, being able to highlight, color code, and tab pages was very useful in our ELA comprehension and writing lessons. Materials like markers and colored pencils were also in daily use for our art lessons, rainbow writing, and even group projects.
These were the foundational materials used this school year to ensure my students had the necessary accommodations and tools for their learning. This project will ensure that, as my students and I continue our academic journey together, we will have the needed tools to learn.
