This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a group of determined fifth-graders. As I am getting ready to welcome them back into the classroom, I want to provide my students with basic school supplies such as colored pencils, crayons, pencils, markers, pens, art supplies, and scissors. I want them to have everything that they need for an awesome start of the year.
I have noticed that students feel happy and ready to learn when they have the appropriate supplies for school.
By providing basic school supplies I help avoid stress and embarrassment from children who don't have them. I want to be able to welcome them with the basic tools for back to school!
