This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The motto at our school is “Supporting Student Strengths with Passion, Purpose, and Professionalism.” This project focuses on fostering students’ strengths by making sure they can access their curriculum during distance learning in a fun and unique way by incorporating materials that can be adapted! Many of the Special Education students I work with come from limited resources and have behavioral, medical, and academic needs. Some of the students live in a group or foster homes, and it can be a challenge to find motivating activities that will engage them.
My students would love to be able to return to a creative and welcoming classroom!

My Project
Help us kick off the upcoming new school year by allowing us to replenish our basic supplies.
These basic classroom materials will help motivate my students and will be used throughout the year for various speech and language activities!
Some of the supplies needed include pops of astrobrights colored paper to create flash cards for students to practice their articulation skills, wonderful writing materials such a crayola markers for students to get creative when completing language projects, soft Kleenex packs to comfort my students with they have runny noses, and other brilliant basic classroom materials that will help create an organized classroom like a divided cube so students know where to keep the markers and other supplies.
My students would love to return to a welcoming classroom environment when the school year begins. This project would provide those basic needs. They love learning and practicing their language skills in a creative way and these supplies would allow just that!
