This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm hoping to start the new school year on a good note with new supplies. I'm pretty sure the kids inhale pencils when I'm not looking, so 1,000 pencils will be a good start for the school year. The instant film can be used to snap photos that can then be used in art projects. Craft supplies like tissue and shrinky dink "paper" can add unique twists to their artwork, too. Trays would be very helpful to let students gather materials at our craft bins and walk back to their desks without their usual habit of accidentally dropping things everywhere. As for the Scridget, a side effect of creativity is that sometimes random things get stuck to our tables and we can use some help scraping them off. The last item is a bug catcher: we have many insect-phobic students and since we get more than our fair share of bugs, it would be nice to quickly catch and release them so students can return to learning without screaming, shrieking, or running around with their hair on fire!

With additional supplies, students can really take their making to the next level!
