Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the teacher of some very bright dual language 3rd grade students! They strive to work hard every day in both English and Spanish instruction and come from very diverse cultural backgrounds. I feel lucky to be able to teach and watch them grow into such great independent young learners.
As their teacher, I can only take them as far as I can go with what we have available.
They need to be supported with more opportunities to be independent, curious, creative, and productive learners in our classroom. I am always grateful to have you help my students grow.
My Project
Back to school is right around the corner and my students and I need some basic school materials to help us start the year on the right foot! As a teacher, there are many things I need to have prepared the moment my students walk right in through our door ready to learn. We need basic supplies like magnets, markers, clips, velcro, hooks and more to create and place supports around the classroom.
I believe fostering a sense of independence is very important for our growing elementary school students, therefore these materials will help set up the classroom to do just that.
The materials I've chosen will help keep the classroom organized so that students may use and returns items easily, know where to find supports around the classroom, and keep the classroom focused on learning rather than a mess. Help me manage the flow and organization of the classroom that students need to succeed.
