Help me give my students the best school experience by providing them with the Six-Leaf Activity Tables to help them participate in collaborative discussions this upcoming school year!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the most amazing kids I have had the pleasure to work with. They come to school with a positive attitude every day. They go above and beyond to better themselves and to show the world that they are capable of anything. I am extremely proud of all of my students and the effort they put into their academics.
My school is a Title I, at-risk school, with a population of over 70% of English Language Learners.
My students come from low income families, too. Families who work relentlessly day and night just to make it through the week. Due to the Coronavirus, many schools were forced to close their doors and find innovative ways to help students continue learning from home.
My Project
My students deserve to have a great year after what was considered the hardest school year ever known. The 6-Leaf Activity Tables will help me engage my students in collaborative discussions and will help me teach my students the appropriate collaboration skills that they need in order to succeed in school and outside of the school environment. My students have accomplished what no one else ever has, they went to school during a global pandemic! They started off by attending school online. Then, they were expected to attend school in the hybrid model, where one week they got to go to school in person, and the next they had to log in to a Zoom session. Lastly, my students were required to sit six feet apart from their classmates after finally being able to come back to the classroom full time.
My students lost a year worth of collaboration skills due to the closure of schools.
Please help me make this upcoming school year a great year for them, as they most definitely deserve it. The Six-Leaf Activity Tables will help them learn the importance of collaboration skills, group discussions, and more!
