My Project
We are writing this project to purchase various items to assist in implementing more efficient accessible activities for our students. These items will promote physical movement activities which will promote success in their daily routines/life.
I work in a Special Education setting where my students are battling many challenges within themselves.
A majority of the students are on the autism spectrum. My students range from 5th grade to 8th grade. This means there are multiple learning styles among my students. It is imperative to provide our students with assess to various outlets on a daily basis. I plan to stimulate and strengthen my students’ minds through Various movement activities.
The daily schedule for the movement class consist of Monday Zumba, Tuesday Obstacle Course, Wednesday Yoga, Thursday Step Aerobics fitness, and Fridays free style dancing/Fun Friday. Each of these items will serve a purpose. The mini fridge will keeps mini waters cool so that my students can stay hydrated. The bulletin items will be used to decorate the board to display pictures of students’ progress and inspiration quotes/symbols. This is will promote healthy habits and mindfulness within my students to succeed to the best of their abilities.
