Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten students speak six languages and represent six countries! My students are curious, energetic, and they love learning.

My students spend their day learning in both English and Spanish.

We are a low income, dual language community school, where everyone knows each other. They have built such a close community and really help one another grow as friends and learners. They do not always have all of the resources they need at home, but they care so much about learning.

My Project

We are finally back in person full time after 500+ days at home!

Kindergarten students LOVE and NEED to play to learn!

Typically, we would play together to learn skills like taking turns, problem solving and sharing. With COVID protocols in place, we have to get creative. Students cannot be sharing the same container of toys at the same time and play along side their friends in the same way they once would have. I am hoping to get these toys to put in individual containers where students can still have hands on fun learning time but with things that I can spray off when they are done and can be clean for the next day! Thanks for helping make play still be possible amidst a pandemic!
