Help me give my students basic supplies to help them be successful next year!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students are energetic, kind, and superstars who love to learn! All of my students come to school determined to learn and are committed to giving their best effort in everything they do. Many of my students are English language learners who come from non-English speaking homes. My students are hardworking and enjoy working collaboratively to solve problems and complete assignments.
Regardless of any challenges, my students are always determined to overcome any and all obstacles that come their way!
As a Title I achievement school, the majority of my students come from low-income families. Being an achievement school means we are heavily focused on turning our school around and raising our school grade! Currently, 94% of students at our school receive free or reduced-price lunch. Being in a low-income area, we have a portion of students who are homeless. It can be difficult for these students to stay focused on learning when they have so much going on outside of school, but my students are fighters who do their best to overcome these obstacles! As their teacher, it's my job to do whatever it takes to ensure that they learn and succeed in school!
These materials will help my students so much in the upcoming year! With nearly all of my students coming from low income homes, it can be hard for them to bring in supplies for the school year. Purchasing school supplies like pencils and notebooks can be a hardship for families who struggle to make ends meet. This leaves students without the necessary supplies they need to be successful for the year. This project will allow me to take the burden off of my families and provide my students with the supplies they need to learn and grow in math and science!
