Help me give my students the basic supplies needed for a good school year like pencils, dry erase markers and erasers, and paper, and materials to label and display their work like index cards and magnetic push pins.

I teach at a Title I school, where a large percentage of the student body lives at or below the poverty line.
Many of them deal with circumstances that most adults would not be able to deal with, yet they do, all the while they are trying to learn. They are learning the skills they need to be successful in life.
Working with our most vulnerable population, I see this first hand. While at times, it can be frustrating, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing you helped a child, living in poverty, gain the tools necessary for success in life, and more importantly changed their vision of what the future can mean for them.
My Project
Students need the basic materials for school, in order to be successful. Walking into a classroom, ready to work, and then finding we are out of pencils again, or we have to use a paper towel to erase a white board, is discouraging. Every child deserves to have a fully stocked classroom.

I encourage and promote creativity in my classroom. By donating to this project, you will be doing that too. Students are curious and filled with creativity. They only need encouragement and the right supplies to help them become, writers, illustrators, mathematicians and scientists!
