My Students

Everyday the most basic supplies are lacking and our students are still expected to learn.

I teach in one of the most diverse schools in the world.

My students are from America, Korea, Russia, Mexico, Mongolia, India. My students are both low income and middle class. The range of experiences, language, and knowledge is so vast. How do we get the basic school supplies to them?

My Project

I am requesting basic school supplies including a School Smart Adjustable Electric Pencil Sharpener, a box of energy beads, a double sided mirror, 2 boxes of 2 Pocket Portfolios, 4 boxes of Fine Tip Dry Erase Markers, 10 Preschool Privacy Partitions, 24 Magnetic Whiteboard Dry Erasers, and a box of Stick Rolling Ball Pens. My students will conduct experiments using science beads, organize their school work, sharpen their pencils for writing, and use mirrors for art and science. It is a challenge to complete any academic tasks without the needed school supplies. In addition to basic school supplies, students will get incentives for their focused behavior.

All students need to have a positive environment to go to school.

Organization, school supplies, and incentives will help create that atmosphere in school everyday. How can a child enjoy writing without a sharpened pencil?
