Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
JRG students come to school energetic and ready to learn every day! They enjoy movement and hands-on activities the most. Our students come from a family-oriented diverse community and most of them will be the first generation in their family to attend college. They are very respectful and always willing to put in the work to achieve success. My co-teacher and myself strive to serve our students and their families.
My Project
As the year keeps rolling, myself and my students continue to utilize every single classroom resource we are provided and granted. Because of the Donors Choose community, we have been able to get some very much needed supplies into the classroom.
My project is to help get some basic supplies into the classroom and alleviate the stress and worry for parents.
Since September we have been utilizing the resources that we have been given. Unfortunately, we are heading into the second semester and our supplies are beginning to dwindle down. This project is going to help keep us aligned with the “supply and demand” in our classroom.
What we have used the most and have come to the realization is that we do not have enough pens and copier paper. My project is going to help get the classroom some more pens, as we use them daily, as well as get some reams of copier paper and post it sticky notes.
With the children wearing masks in school now and for nearly every day life, a refill on some disposable masks would be greatly utilized in the classroom for those instances and days that the students need a clean mask.
Along with the masks, I am requesting a few pouches of disinfecting wipes, these wipes will be utilized in the classroom to wipe down manipulatives as well as countertops and desks.
