Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing! They come to school prepared to learn and try their best to achieve our high expectations every day. My students really need these individual whiteboards and dry erase markers. First graders write every day, and we need a good supply of writing tools. My students use the markers and boards during phonics, spelling, and math lessons. This will allow me to see my students' thinking and quickly catch any errors. First graders love to color and create, so we will use the colored pencils to further their artistic expression. Our school is located in a low-income area with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
My goal, every year, is to create a learning environment that is warm, safe, and inviting while having high expectations for my first-grade students' success.
Many of my students are English Language Learners and it is so important that they attend school every day to receive the extra help they need. My students will start the year in school and it is so important to keep my classroom safe and clean for them. I also want my classroom to be a warm and engaging place for my students to learn. These new supplies will help me do it all!
