My Students

Hurricane Harvey devastated the gulf coast; however, one of the benefits of this new school year is the fact that my school has opened its doors to a new population of students with autism. We have begun to create a warm and inviting classroom to provide a loving environment. This storm will not hamper our soul or spirit and our new student population makes it even better.

My goal as a teacher to provide the best caring education possible.

Houston overcame the adversity of Hurricane Harvey and became even stronger. As my new group of students prepares for the state test, new friends and many other challenges, we need materials to follow the curriculum to the fullest! We are an underprivileged school, Title I, and low-income.

My Project

Backpacks make a difference in student learning by helping students stay organized. Backpacks aide students in getting material home and back to school and vice versa. Organizational skills are vital to learning and keeping students on track.

Backpacks are essential to learning by providing organizational skills that are needed for learning.

The games are for back to school fun! I would like to use these as an ice breaker when school is back in session. I will be making home visits if possibly allowed by my school. At that time we will give the students what they need.
