Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This literacy project gives my students book bags, headphones, headphone wall organizers, and fun rewards for reading milestones.

Students use back-of-chair book bags to hold their personal book stashes of five books at their just-right level.

Headphones let students focus on their learning as they work independently in stations, while I pull small groups for direct instruction. Headphone wall organizers keep our headphones in working condition. School supplies and pencils are rewards for students who reach their reading goals.

Our classroom system maximizes literacy learning when we have these supplies.
