My Students

My students are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all over the globe.

My students bring a special blend of linguistic diversity, background knowledge, prior experiences, and culture to our school.

We are a Title I school in a low-income community.

Free breakfast and free lunch are available to every child in our building each day, and these are now remotely served.

I have twenty-nine students in my class.

I went to this district for my whole education, have raised and educated my children in this city, and have taught here my whole career.

My students are very enthusiastic about learning. We provide specific academic support to students to meet their specific needs so they can reach their personal potential. My class is made up of diverse needs and levels. They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success in our newly established distance remote learning platform. My students have been learning at home as the school was closed due to the COVID-19 virus for the rest of the school year. This presents a challenge as most of my students do not have access to supplies in their homes.

My Project

Teaching children remotely has made this year challenging.

These new books and teacher resources will help me to teach about voting and the importance of our US Government which is very important this year due to the presidential election.

I would like to create bingo games and other resources on card stock and laminate them before sending them home so they will last the whole year.

The white board markers and dry erase pockets will allow the children to work from home without having to print the practice worksheets more than once.

Your help in supporting us is greatly appreciated.
