This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Something I love about my students is their curiosity during our weekly STEM investigations. They come together and work beautifully as a team, and it’s wonderful to see them excited to learn. COVID has been impactful in many ways, one of which is that learning had to be less hands-on in order to respect social distancing guidelines. I was able to get a LEGO kit funded, and seeing students get excited for group learning again was really special. With this grant provided by the Arizona Department of Education, I am excited to kickstart cooperative and highly engaged learning once again.
