Awesome Students Need Fun Hands-on Games

Help me give my students new learning games and sensory materials to enrich their learning environment. I would like to add some new materials to my class ranging from language building games, to math games, and sensory materials.

My Students

I work in a district program that specializes in working with students who have autism. They are all different and bring something special to our school. They are perfect examples of resiliency. They come to school excited and happy to be surrounded by a team that loves them, accepts them for who they are, and advocates for them. They are why I come to work happy every day.

My Project

Many of my materials that I inherited from the previous teacher are old and missing pieces (think of the last missing puzzle piece..ahh). My students are k-6 and they are all at different learning levels. I want to add some new games and learning materials to our class, They will be used during our 1:1 sessions and our social group time.

I am a new special teacher, who is working for an amazing school with even more amazing students.

For math I would like to add; money puzzles, counting and 1:1 correspondence puzzles, Addition to 20 pop and add game, and a color sorting/matching game (also good for fine motor skills). For language skills I would like to add; phonics bingo, match and sort language skills games, and story sequencing cards. The last items I want to add are water marbles (for their sensory needs) and fingerpaint and ink pads for art time!
