My Students

Look at your hand and you will see my classroom and students. They are all different.

My students' abilities varies as they are all Special needs students.

They all have different needs. My school is in a low socioeconomic neighborhood with majority of the students on free or reduced lunch. With the student population, demographics, and economic background its more than likely technology such as iPad and computers are limited in the homes of most of the students. My school does need more funding to be able to provide adequate technology to every student.

My Project

With most special needs students their abilities to receive, retain, and retrieve (even just regurgitate) is limited if not lacking. But with an iPad or technology their visual cortex is force to process the imagery and thus allows for some retrieval overtime.

With the iPad students will be able to individually work on needed skills to improve their focus and learning.

Because the iPad is interactive it will keep a student engaged and focused during their mini brain brake while others finish or continue to learn. I will make a huge difference in our classroom to help keep everyone engaged and focused on learning.
