My Project

My students are incredible young adults who enjoy reading when the text interests theme. Many of my students do not have books at home, so their time in the classroom is often their sole interaction with a variety of texts. Many of my students started the year not having a favorite book and not being excited about reading. However, offering students relatable texts gets them excited about reading. My students chose these books! Please help in giving them access to the awesome literature they are interested in to encourage their leisure reading. Essentially, if students are enjoying what they are reading, they will continue to develop their literacy skills and become lifelong learners.
