This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Aloha mai! I am a first year, first grade teacher in Hawai'i. As my first project I wanted to create an environment where students get "voice and choice." My students enjoy finding a comfy spot to complete their independent work.

For this project I want to create a sense of freedom with the help of flexible seating for my students to learn their way.

My students are a fun-loving and energetic bunch. They enjoy working in small group and partner settings. With this project it will bring my students so much joy during the school day.
