it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have been handed a lot of challenges in life that are of no fault of their own, ranging from emotional and learning disabilities to mental health issues, to poverty, and neglect. These challenges are so major that the students' future goals often take a back seat and seem impossible. Many of our students live in neighborhoods where they cannot go outside and explore their interests or talents because it is just too dangerous, and in some cases, their parents cannot afford to put them in extracurricular activities. Our class is the only time some get to explore and gain experience.
My students are wonderful, ambitious individuals who have their whole future ahead of them to make changes to the lifestyle they were brought up in.

My Project
Due to the pandemic my 5 seniors have not been able to go out into the community to complete their internship hours. So we created a in school base internship program, where the students are able to get their internship hours and job experience in the school. They file papers, make copies for staff, shred papers, make announcements, send out emails etc. They do such a great job each day and with out complaining. I would like to reward them on a daily/weekly basis for their hard work, dedication and commitment to their program. My students love listening to music and would love new head sets, snacks and water will be given daily, sanitizers, wipes and gloves will be given to make sure that they are working safely. The art supplies will be given at the end of the quarter when they have completed the program. Thank you so much for your donations.
