Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are located in an urban area of New Jersey, which has been described by the media as "the poorest city in the U.S." and "the most dangerous city in America." A full ninety-six percent of our students are classified as "economically disadvantaged"; sixteen percent have special needs.

I am a self-contained, special education teacher and this year I am teaching a wonderful group of fifth through seventh-grade students.

My students absolutely love doing research papers and they truly enjoy displaying their work around the classroom and halls. Currently, we have a printer in our classroom, however, we are running low on ink. My students would absolutely be thrilled if we could get some ink for our next project. My students deserve the very best and the ink would be such a great addition to our " research area." Also, Sharpies and crayons will be used to decorate the covers of our research papers. Thank you so very much!
