My Project
I love that my kindergarten students are excited and enthusiastic as they walk into the classroom every morning! They are ready to learn and have fun in school! My students are special because they love to learn about letters, numbers and being kind to others. They love to read books of all kinds, and their favorite books are alphabet books because they are learning to recognize the alphabet letters and sounds of the letters. Alphabet books are important to early development and early language, they provide opportunities to develop letter recognition, acquire new words, and provide basic instruction in the alphabet. Reading and learning to read takes place in all areas of the classroom, on the carpet, in centers, at their tables and with their friends. The specific items that I am requesting will make a difference in my students' learning because they will be able to choose from a variety of new and interesting alphabet books to spark their learning. The goals of this project are to have my students develop early language, develop letter recognition, and acquire new words.
