My Project

Kids need recognition. Acknowledging that you've noticed a student's growth increases their motivation moving forward. It proves that one, it can be done, and two, my teacher sees it. At my school, we do not award students for their growth with medals or trophies. It is always a list posted in the hallway and that is that. This year I am wanting to change that and give my students medals for their academic success in what may have seem to them a challenging year. Freshman year is a lot. Credits and classes matter now. You have to pass STAAR tests to graduate. It sets them up for their future self. I want to keep this momentum going to where the know that my hard work and growth never goes unnoticed.
