My Project

Many of my students are voracious readers and some others are reluctant readers. My goal is to get them all to be voracious readers. These award winning books will hopefully do just that. The books I have chosen are perfect for our grade level and the topics are wide-ranging and will add to our classroom library in a positive way.

Many of the books offer a colorful view of the world and some of the books are just for pure enjoyment, and a great laugh.

These books will encourage my students to see themselves in others and in the characters of the stories. Reading books written by authors who live in different countries or from different backgrounds gives an opportunity for the readers to be engaged in understanding our world and the diversity in our world.

The jolly ranchers are for the students to enjoy while completing their independent reading, the post-its are for note taking and the bookmarks are for keeping track of where they leave off in their books. I know they will be thrilled to see all of these items added to our classroom.
