AVID Tutorial Table

Help me give my students a large collaborative work space for tutorials. This table will provide students with a gathering space while they solve points of confusion from their academic classes.

My Project

At C. High School, we have the most diverse group of students in the state of California! Our students speak over 30 languages, practice a variety of faiths, and have roots all over the world.

Our AVID program has a decades-long tradition of 100% of our first-generation college-bound seniors being accepted to four-year universities.

Most will be the first in their families to attend a university. In order to ensure that all students are successful once they get to college, we require them to take challenging honors, AP, and dual-enrollment college classes while they are in high school. Then we do twice-weekly tutorials where students work together to solve challenging problems from their math, science, psychology, and other classes. This requested table will provide a collaborative space for math and physics tutorials where students can use the actual table to work out problems with white board markers.

In January 2023, our school is opening a brand new building with beautiful views. We would love to have the opportunity to work together around this beautiful table in our new room!
