Aviation in Action!

Help me give my students model airplanes to help them study flight, forces, and aerodynamics.

My Project

This project will help students gain valuable hands-on experience with STEM engineering concepts. The glider kits will give students a starting point to build their own model airplane. The sanding and painting supplies will help them modify their airplanes, a critical step in the aerospace engineering and design process. They will use the wooden stir sticks and rubber bands to engineer their own launchers, further extending their learning on the variables to a successful flight.

These materials will help students explore science standards in a memorable way- they will be part of the action of flight, and their learning will soar to new heights!

This project includes materials to help them clean up, store materials, and display final projects for an "air show." This activity will help robotics students practice the technical and team work skills needed to reach new heights in their team competition.
