My Head Start students come from the inner-city and do not have as many advantages as students from other areas. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to make sure they have what they need to learn and succeed in school and in the world. I teach at a Title I school in Nebraska, which means that 93% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are amazing and I am proud to be their teacher!
They come to school eager to learn and curious about the world around them. My school is a safe place for them, a place for them to be nurtured, loved, and prepared for the future.
My classroom is lucky enough to have an AV projector, which is great! The only problem is that we have to share a cart with another classroom, which is not so great.
Another AV cart would greatly enhance our learning, by allowing us to be able to use the projector whenever we want, which will allow flexibility in our learning.
We would like to be able to use our projector throughout the day, for gross motor activities during inclement weather, as well as enrichment activities such as book read-alouds and non-fiction videos for the children to learn about the world around them.
