My Project

Our school is implementing the "Neighborhood Model" which is where all students attend their neighborhood school and are included in the general education classrooms.

Our students will need supports put into the classrooms in order for them to be the most successful in the new setting.

By providing sensory supports to the teachers, the students will be able to participate alongside their neuro-typical peers.

Autism supports include:

-a sensory sack, for when things are too over stimulating

-putty in various strength, to build focus during learning time

-weighted neck animals, for when their body is feeling restless

-a pressure vest, for when their body is feeling restless

- a body sock, for when their energy is too much
