Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day would be visuals all around the classroom. Students with token reinforcement to control the behavior.
My students have one or two disabilities that affects education and future lifestyles of how someone communicates and acts with others.
They frequently have acting out behaviors due to them having problems understanding language and being able to express their needs because they can not screen out some input that may sometimes cause them or others pain.
My Project
My students will be able to download apps that increase their vocabulary . Apps that show them visual social stories of a certain type of behavior that they are exhibiting at the time of the behavior on hand. The tablet will also be used as a reinforcer that decreases the behavior at hand.
Donations would help students who can be very challenging .
This project will change students with autism of having the ability to learn verbal communication with the state of art teaching with technology. This can help children with autism to better interact with their peers and siblings .
